Brian Ritchson’s Family
Brian grew up in a military household. His father, David Ritchson, is a retired U.S. Air Force chief master sergeant, and his mother, Vickie Ritchson, worked as a high school teacher.
Because of his father’s Air Force career, the family moved several times. Alan was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, in 1982, and the family later lived in Rantoul, Illinois, before settling in Niceville, Florida, when David was transferred to nearby Eglin Air Force Base. Niceville is where the Ritchson brothers spent their formative years.
The three brothers took very different paths:
- Eric Ritchson, the oldest, went into engineering and operations work outside entertainment.
- Alan Ritchson, the middle child, became the family’s public figure through acting, modeling and music.
- Brian Ritchson, the youngest, moved into technology.
How Old Is Brian Ritchson?
Brian’s exact age hasn’t been confirmed by his family or any official source. He is known to be younger than Alan, who was born on November 28, 1982.
A birth date of April 9, 1988, is frequently attached to his name online. If that date is accurate, he would be 38 as of 2026. Because it hasn’t been publicly confirmed, it’s best treated as unverified.
Brian Ritchson’s Career
Brian has stayed away from Hollywood entirely. He is widely described as a software engineer, and public professional profiles under his name point to a computer science education at Florida State University and a long career in software development, including a senior software developer role at the global engineering firm Atkins.
That background fits with where he grew up, since Florida State is one of the state’s major public universities and a natural destination for students from the Florida Panhandle. Neither Brian nor Alan has discussed his job publicly, though, so details about his current role aren’t officially confirmed.
What is clear is that he has never pursued acting, modeling or any public-facing career in entertainment.
His Famous Brother, Alan Ritchson
Alan is the reason most people search for Brian. He first gained attention on the reality competition American Idol and later through modeling before landing his breakout role as Aquaman on Smallville.
From there, his career built steadily, with roles in Blue Mountain State, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and as Raphael in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films, plus Hank Hall, also known as Hawk, on the DC series Titans. His biggest success came with Reacher, where he plays Jack Reacher, the towering ex-military investigator from Lee Child’s novels. The show made him one of the most recognizable leading men on streaming television.
Alan’s rise brought new attention to his entire family, including brothers who had never sought it.
Is Brian Ritchson Married?
Brian hasn’t publicly shared details about his relationship status. Some profiles describe him as married, but no spouse has been named in any reliable source, and he hasn’t confirmed it himself. For now, his personal life remains private.
Does Brian Ritchson Have Social Media?
Brian doesn’t have any verified public social media presence tied to his family connection. He doesn’t post about his brother’s career, appear in Alan’s promotional content, or give interviews. Any account claiming to be him should be treated with caution unless it’s clearly confirmed.
Brian Ritchson’s Net Worth
There’s no reliable public figure for Brian’s net worth. He isn’t a public figure, and no financial details about him have been disclosed. Estimates circulating online are guesses. His income would come from his own professional career, not from his brother’s success in entertainment.
A Private Life by Choice
Brian is a good example of how fame can reach an entire family without everyone stepping into it. While Alan built a career in front of cameras, Brian took a technical, behind-the-scenes path and has kept his life out of the spotlight. The public knows him mainly as the youngest Ritchson brother, and he appears content to leave it at that.
